  1.                     Pneumothorax (Collapsed Lung)
  2. SYMPTOMS may include sharp sudden chest pain, difficulty in breathing, dry
  3. hacking cough. Pain may spread to shoulders, chest and abdomen.
  4. CAUSES are from gas or air getting between the membrane surrounding the lung
  5. and the membrane lining the chest. This prevents the lung from expanding
  6. fully. May involve a chest injury or lung disease.
  7. TREATMENT. Bed rest, oxygen. Air removed through needle inserted in chest.
